Haywood Family Eye Care

01 The doctors

Four doctors.
One standard.

Every exam at Haywood Family Eye Care is performed by a treating optometrist — a doctor who diagnoses and manages eye disease, not just prescriptions. Between the four of them: valedictorian honors, residency training in ocular disease, pediatrics and VA medicine, mission work in Honduras, and three languages spoken during exams.

Portrait of Dr. E. Aimée McBride

Dr. E. Aimée McBride, O.D.

Optometrist · Co-Owner

Clemson University, Biosystems Engineering · UAB School of Optometry — Valedictorian

Dr. McBride co-owns Haywood Family Eye Care and practices the full breadth of optometry, including ocular disease, contact lenses, pediatric eye care, and medical eye care. An engineer before she became a doctor, she brings careful attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset to each patient’s care.

Outside the exam room, Dr. McBride enjoys traveling with her husband and three boys, exploring the mountains, and finding new places to make family memories.

Portrait of Dr. Thomas Pinkston

Dr. Thomas “Tommy” Pinkston, O.D.

Optometrist · Co-Owner

University of Florida · UAB School of Optometry · Residency in ocular disease

Dr. Pinkston co-owns the practice and completed residency training in ocular disease — a year of additional clinical training beyond optometry school, focused on diagnosing and treating eye disease. Patients know him for taking the time to explain what he sees, and what it means, in plain language.

"Clear, honest communication is the foundation of great eye care."
Portrait of Dr. Amy Krempecki

Dr. Amy Krempecki, O.D.

Optometrist

Ithaca College, Biochemistry · Salus University / Pennsylvania College of Optometry · Pediatric residency

Residency-trained in pediatric optometry, Dr. Krempecki sees the youngest eyes in the practice — and cares for the conditions that matter most as eyes age: dry eye, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration and glaucoma.

Dr. Weronika Przepiora, O.D.

Optometrist

University of Florida · Southern College of Optometry · VA residency

Dr. Przepiora completed her residency in VA medicine and practices ocular disease, specialty contact-lens fitting and primary eye care — including the hard-to-fit eyes that need a specialist's patience.

She sees patients in English, Spanish and Polish — se habla español · mówimy po polsku.
