Dr. E. Aimée McBride, O.D. — co-owner of Haywood Family Eye Care

Co-owner

Dr. E. Aimée McBride, O.D.

A Clemson Biosystems Engineering graduate who finished top of her class, Dr. McBride went on to be valedictorian at the UAB School of Optometry. Her practice spans ocular disease, contact lenses, pediatrics, and refractive and cataract surgery co-management — a breadth that lets her care for entire families across decades. Married with three young boys and a Great Dane, she's active in Lake Hills Church and has served on mission trips to Honduras providing free vision care. When she's not at the office, you'll find her behind a camera, on a trail, or planning the next family adventure.

Dr. Amy Krempecki, O.D. — pediatric optometry specialist

Pediatrics

Dr. Amy Krempecki, O.D.

A Pine City, New York native, Dr. Krempecki holds a Biochemistry degree from Ithaca College and her O.D. from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University. She completed a year-long residency in Child and Family Optometry in Wichita, Kansas — making pediatric eye care her primary focus, alongside diabetic retinopathy, dry eye, age-related macular degeneration, retinal disorders, and glaucoma. Parents tell us their kids leave smiling, which is the highest compliment in this work. At home she's mom to son Sebastian with her husband John, and she fills her free time with travel, baking, and scrapbooking.

Together

One team. Every specialty under one roof.

Between our four optometrists, we cover pediatric exams from six months old, specialty contact lens fitting for irregular corneas, advanced ocular disease management — glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy — and full pre- and post-operative co-management for cataract and refractive surgery. We treat dry eye with meibomian gland imaging, deliver care in Polish, Spanish, and English, and have served on mission trips in Honduras. The breadth means continuity: when your child grows up, when your prescription changes, when a sudden symptom appears, the same practice handles it — calmly, and with the kind of explanation you'll actually remember.

Beyond the exam room

The people you'll see most.

Before you ever sit in an exam chair, you've already met half of why patients stay. Miranda runs the front of the house. Stacy fits the frames you take home.

Miranda Hoffman, Office Manager at Haywood Family Eye Care

Office Manager

Miranda Hoffman

Miranda runs the practice. The entire office — front desk, billing, scheduling, insurance verification, optical — reports to her. She's who you talk to when an answer needs to come back fast, when something about your visit needs to be made simpler, or when a bill needs a second set of eyes. If it gets done well here, it's because Miranda made sure it does.

Optical Manager

Stacy

Frames, fit, and a second opinion.

Stacy manages our optical boutique. She knows every line on the wall — Lindberg, Lafont, Ray-Ban, Maui Jim — and which frame is going to fit your face, your prescription, and your life. She's also the one who'll say "let me see something else" when the first pair isn't quite right.
