Bring your vision plan and medical insurance cards, your current glasses or contacts, and a list of any medications. Arriving a few minutes early keeps everything unhurried.

The exam
A technician runs your pre-testing, then your doctor examines the health of the whole eye — imaging included when it's called for — and explains everything in plain English.
